Gorilla and Chimpanzee Prints for Sale

Limited Edition gorilla and chimpanzee Wall Art

By: Johan Siggesson

These gorilla and chimpanzee prints come from real encounters in the wild, photographed in African forests where these primates still live in close family groups.

Each image is offered as a limited edition fine art print and available as gorilla and chimpanzee wall art for collectors who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and lasting quality. Much of this work is presented in black and white, a style that allows the expression, intelligence, and emotional depth of each gorilla and chimpanzee to come forward without distraction.

Many of these photographs were made during long hours spent observing how gorillas and chimpanzees interact, care for one another, and move through their forest environment. That time in the field shapes how these fine art wildlife prints feel, turning them into quiet, honest moments rather than staged scenes.

Testimonials

Laura, Edinburgh, UK

"I saw Johan’s elephant photograph of Craig in Amboseli online and knew it had to be part of our collection. The depth and emotion in his eyes are unforgettable."

Where These Gorilla and Chimpanzee Prints Work Best

Gorilla and chimpanzee prints work especially well in spaces where expression and connection matter. The faces and eyes of these animals carry a depth that invites people to slow down and look more closely. Presented as black and white animal photography, these fine art wildlife prints fit naturally into both modern and classic interiors.

In living rooms and home offices, a gorilla or chimpanzee print often becomes a focal point that draws attention without overwhelming the space. The quiet presence of these primates adds a sense of thoughtfulness and calm, especially when printed as limited edition wall art on museum grade paper. Many collectors choose gorilla wall art or chimpanzee wall art for spaces where they want something that feels both strong and personal.

Bedrooms and more private rooms benefit from the softer tones and subtle textures found in black and white photography. Here, primate prints feel intimate and grounding, creating a peaceful atmosphere that supports reflection rather than distraction.

Because each gorilla and chimpanzee print is produced in small editions, these works are not just decorative pieces but lasting additions to a home, studio, or gallery setting.

Frequently asked questions

1. Where are these gorilla and chimpanzee prints photographed?

Johan’s gorilla and chimpanzee photographs are taken in the wild across parts of Africa where these primates still live in natural forest environments. These locations provide the light and setting needed to capture real moments rather than staged scenes.

2. Do you ship gorilla and chimpanzee prints internationally?

Yes. Johan ships fine art wildlife prints worldwide. Each gorilla and chimpanzee print is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely, whether it is being delivered nearby or across continents.

3. What paper and materials are used for gorilla and chimpanzee prints?

All gorilla and chimpanzee prints are produced on premium baryta paper using archival pigment inks. This process provides strong tonal depth, fine detail, and long term durability.

4. Why do black and white gorilla and chimpanzee prints work so well as wall art?

Black and white animal photography brings out expression, texture, and emotion without the distraction of colour. This gives gorilla and chimpanzee wall art a timeless quality that suits many interior styles.

5. Are Johan Siggesson’s gorilla and chimpanzee prints limited edition?

Yes. Many of Johan Siggesson’s gorilla and chimpanzee prints are released as limited editions. Each fine art print is created using museum grade materials and is signed and numbered for authenticity.

6. How do I choose the right gorilla or chimpanzee wall art for my home?

Think about the mood you want the room to have. A close portrait creates focus and emotional impact, while a wider scene brings calm and space. Black and white primate prints work especially well in modern, minimalist, and nature inspired interiors.

7. What size options are available for gorilla and chimpanzee prints?

These prints are available in a range of sizes, from smaller fine art wildlife prints to large statement pieces for feature walls. Each product page lists the available formats.

8. What makes Johan Siggesson’s primate prints different from other wildlife photography?

Johan’s work focuses on quiet moments and real behaviour rather than dramatic scenes. His gorilla and chimpanzee prints are shaped by time spent observing these animals in the wild.

9. Do these gorilla and chimpanzee prints support wildlife conservation?

Yes. Johan’s photography is closely connected to wildlife conservation through ethical field practices, awareness, and support for organisations working to protect primates and their habitats.

10. How long does worldwide shipping take?

Print production usually takes around one to two weeks. Once ready, shipping normally takes under one week. Delivery times may vary slightly depending on your location.

11. Are framed gorilla and chimpanzee prints available?

Prints can be ordered either unframed or professionally framed and ready to hang. Because framed works are larger and more delicate, shipping costs are calculated separately and insurance may be added. For this reason, many collectors choose to frame their prints locally, which is often safer and more cost effective.

Protecting Primates Through Photography

Gorillas and chimpanzees share much of their DNA with humans, yet their future remains uncertain. Deforestation, illegal hunting, and the loss of natural habitat continue to place pressure on their survival. Spending time with these primates in the wild reveals how complex and social they are, caring deeply for their families and surroundings.

This collection exists to show more than beautiful wildlife portraits. It is meant to bring attention to species that are slowly losing the forests they depend on. Each photograph carries a quiet reminder of how easily these animals could disappear if we stop paying attention.

Ethical wildlife photography and responsible travel also help protect the regions where gorillas and chimpanzees live. Conservation focused storytelling provides support for local communities and organisations working to safeguard these primates and their habitat.

Through my work, I aim to show gorillas and chimpanzees not as distant icons, but as real animals with their own lives, relationships, and right to exist in the wild.

Chimpanzee Wall Art - Storytelling

Walking in the deep forests of Kibale National Park in Uganda is an experience in its own right. The sounds and smells alone are transferring you to a world beyond imagination. At the back of your mind, the feeling of being watched by our closest relatives are ever present. Chimpanzees are inhabiting these forests and are somewhere around. We are eagerly waiting for either the sound of the chimpanzees themselves or the sound of the ranger's radio notifying us that they have been found. Although it would be nice to hear them yourself, the radio call would do :)

This time around it was the latter... Another ranger notified us that a family of chimpanzees had been seen not far from us and we increased the pace to catch up. All of a sudden there I can see a dark shadow sitting on the trail. The ranger signs to us to move slowly and to be quiet.

We sit down and more chimpanzees appear from the thick bushes. 3-4 individuals are feeding and interacting with each other just next to us. There are also other chimpanzees up in the trees just above us. A steady stream of discarded fruits, branches and urine is cascading down from the tree tops. Every so often this chimp was looking up to check on the rest of the family group and that's when I caught this image. An unforgettable experience.

These chimpanzees have been used to human presence for years and are not afraid of us. They bring in well-needed funds to the local community and in doing so they are valued and protected by the locals.
