#014 - Looking Up

While sitting on the rainforest floor in Kibale National Park in Uganda, this chimpanzee gazes up towards the treetops, investigating the commotion above. Fruit, urine, and branches of various sizes fall from the canopy due to the activity of other chimpanzees overhead. He appears just as wary as I am, concerned that he might become a target. In moments like these, it is impossible not to see the deep resemblance between chimpanzees and humans, a reminder of our shared curiosity and caution.
 
This photograph captures that connection with quiet intensity and has become one of my signature chimpanzee wildlife prints. It reflects the essence of fine art wildlife photography, where emotion and storytelling meet in a single frame. The image forms part of my limited edition primate print collection, created to celebrate the intelligence and sensitivity of our closest relatives in the wild, and stands as a powerful piece of wildlife wall art that invites reflection on our place in nature.
