Lion ARt Prints for Sale
Limited Edition Black and white Lion Wall Art
By: Johan Siggesson
These lion prints come from real encounters in the wild, photographed on foot in parts of Africa where lions still move freely through open plains and woodland. Each image is offered as a limited edition fine art print and available as lion wall art for collectors who value authenticity, craft, and lasting quality. Much of this work is presented in black and white, a style that allows the strength and presence of each lion to stand out without distraction.
Many of these photographs were made during long hours spent observing how lions rest, hunt, and interact within their pride, which gives the images a quiet, unforced quality that carries through to the final fine art wildlife prints.

Where My Lion prints work best
Lion prints work best in spaces where strength, presence, and quiet authority can be appreciated. The natural depth of black and white photography allows these images to sit comfortably in both modern and classic interiors, making them a strong choice for collectors looking for refined wildlife wall art.
In living rooms and home offices, a fine art lion print often becomes a focal point without overpowering the space. The calm but alert presence of a lion adds weight and atmosphere, especially when presented as a limited edition fine art wildlife print on museum grade paper. These works create a sense of focus that draws the eye without feeling loud.
Bedrooms and more private rooms benefit from the softer side of lion photography. In black and white, the textures of fur, light, and shadow create a more intimate and grounded feeling, making lion wall art easy to live with over time.
Because each lion print is produced in small editions, these works are not just decorative but lasting additions to a collection, whether displayed in a home, a studio, or a design focused interior.
Lion Print FAQ
1. Do you ship lion prints internationally?
Yes. Johan ships fine art wildlife prints worldwide. Each lion print is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely, whether it is being delivered nearby or across continents.
2. What makes Siggesson’s lion prints different from other wildlife photography?
Johan’s work is shaped by time spent in the field rather than staged scenes. His lion prints focus on presence, mood, and natural behaviour, creating images that feel calm, powerful, and honest.
3. What paper and materials are used for lion prints?
Lion prints are produced on premium baryta paper with archival pigment inks. This process delivers strong tonal depth, fine detail, and long term durability for collectors seeking museum quality lion wall art.
4. How do I choose the right lion wall art for my home?
Think about how you want the room to feel. A close lion portrait creates focus and impact, while a wider scene brings space and balance. Black and white lion prints work especially well in modern, minimalist, and nature inspired interiors.
5. Where are these lion prints photographed?
Johan’s lion images are made in the wild across parts of Africa where lions still live and move freely. These natural settings provide the light and atmosphere needed to capture real moments.
6. Are Johan Siggesson’s lion prints limited edition?
Yes. Many of Johan Siggesson’s lion prints are released as limited editions. Each fine art lion print is created using museum grade materials and is signed and numbered for authenticity and collectability.
7. Why do black and white lion prints work so well as wall art?
Black and white photography brings out the texture, expression, and character of a lion without the distraction of colour. This gives lion wall art a timeless quality that suits a wide range of interior styles.
8. What size options are available for lion prints?
Lion prints are offered in a range of sizes, from smaller fine art wildlife prints to large statement pieces for feature walls. Available formats are listed on each product page so you can choose what fits your space best.
9. Do lion prints support wildlife conservation?
Johan’s photography is closely connected to wildlife conservation through ethical field practice, awareness, and support for organisations working to protect lions and their habitats.
10. How long does worldwide shipping take?
Print production usually takes around one to two weeks. Once ready, shipping normally takes under one week. Delivery times may vary slightly depending on your location.
11. Are framed lion prints available?
Lion prints can be ordered either unframed or professionally framed and ready to hang. Because framed works are larger and more delicate, shipping costs are calculated separately and insurance may be added. For this reason, many collectors choose to frame their prints locally, which is often safer and more cost effective.

Protecting Lions Through Photography
Lions have shared the African landscape with people for thousands of years, yet their future has never been more uncertain. As wild spaces shrink and human activity expands, lions are forced into closer contact with people, often with devastating consequences. Spending time with lions in the wild reveals how much of their lives are spent resting, watching, and simply being present, far removed from the way they are often portrayed.
My lion collection is not just about creating striking lion prints. It is about drawing attention to animals that are slowly being pushed out of the places they belong. Every image holds a quiet truth about what it means to survive in a world that is changing faster than a species can adapt.
Photography has a way of slowing people down. When you look closely at a lion, you begin to see more than strength or drama. You see family bonds, patience, and a deep connection to the land. That kind of seeing is where respect begins, and respect is what leads to protection.
By supporting ethical wildlife photography and responsible safaris, you also support the communities and conservation efforts that work to keep lions and their habitats intact. Small choices, whether made in the field or in the home, can help shape a future where these animals are still free to live as they always have.
Through my work, I aim to show lions not as icons, but as real animals with their own rhythms, relationships, and right to exist on their own terms.

The story behind this popular lion print
We spent several hours that morning tracking a male lion known as Rasta through a remote area of the Serengeti. By the time we caught up with him, it was late morning. The early light was shifting into something harsher, and heavy clouds were starting to move in across the sky. There wasn't much of a breeze. The whole area felt unusually quiet and still.
Rasta eventually walked over to a low rock formation in the middle of the plains. He climbed up and settled in immediately, resting his head in a way that made it clear he was comfortable there.
At first, our vehicle was positioned at an angle that didn't quite capture the scene. I could tell that a direct side view would be more effective for the photo I wanted to take, so we backed up slowly. In wildlife photography, you have to move quickly but carefully because these opportunities can end in a second.
He didn't do anything to assert his presence. There was no roaring or looking at us to show dominance. He just sat there with his eyes open, looking out at the horizon, though he seemed focused on something internal rather than the landscape. That was the moment I took the shot. Shortly after, he closed his eyes and fell asleep, balanced on that rock like it was a private lookout point.
Most people expect photos of lions to show action or a display of power, but this was different. It was a scene of total calm. It was just me and my local guide out there; there were no other vehicles around and no noise, which really added to the atmosphere of the moment.
'The Dreamer' is about those specific times in the wild when things slow down. It’s a reminder that nature isn’t always about movement or hunting. A lot of the time, it’s just about these quiet moments of stillness.
