#005 - Kalahari Queen
Kalahari, South Africa - 2019
We got a tip that a caracal had been sighted in a specific area of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. We drove the small road back and forth more times than I can remember, scanning every stretch of sand and bush. Then finally, there she was.
We managed to follow this female for quite some time, watching her move with that unmistakable feline grace. Luckily, she was in an open area without too many shrubs, which allowed for a clear view and the chance to capture her presence through fine art wildlife photography. Moments like this are rare in African wildlife photography, and they remind me why patience in the wild always pays off.
