Right now, people from all over the world are heading to Amboseli, hoping to catch a glimpse of the legendary Craig, a huge bull elephant with some of the biggest tusks you’ll ever see. He has been the King of Amboseli for years, but as he gets older, a new generation of strong bulls is starting to challenge him.
 
One of those rising bulls is Michael. Watching him move through the landscape is something special. He is calm, powerful, and full of presence. He is still growing, but many believe he has what it takes to become a leader when the time comes.
 
Michael is easily one of my favorite elephants. He has an incredible build and long, perfectly shaped tusks that touch the ground. He truly captures the wild beauty and strength of his species.
