Right now, people from all over the world are heading to Amboseli, hoping to catch a glimpse of the legendary Craig, a huge bull elephant with some of the biggest tusks you’ll ever see. He has been the King of Amboseli for years, a true icon of African wildlife photography, but as he gets older, a new generation of strong bulls is starting to challenge him. Michael is a super tusker in the making!
 
One of those rising bulls is Michael. Watching him move through the landscape is something special. He is calm, powerful, and full of presence. He is still growing, but many believe he has what it takes to become a main figure in Amboseli when the time comes. His confident stride and perfectly formed tusks make him a dream subject for elephant photography and fine art wildlife prints that capture both strength and serenity in the wild.
 
Michael is easily one of my favorite elephants. He has an incredible build and long, perfectly shaped tusks that touch the ground. In black and white elephant photography, his form becomes even more striking, a timeless reflection of the grace and power that define Africa’s giants.
