Moon Over Laikipia captures a solitary Grévy’s zebra standing beneath a rising moon in the open landscapes of northern Kenya. The image was made in low light, allowing the moon to soften the scene while the zebra’s markings shows clearly against the darkened plains. There is no movement or drama in the image. 
 
Printed as a fine art zebra print, this photograph is about atmosphere rather than action. The black and white treatment removes distraction and draws attention to form, contrast, and mood, making it well suited as wildlife wall art for considered spaces. As a limited edition wildlife print, it invites the viewer to slow down and spend time with the image, much as I experienced it in the field.
